Tractor Run 2023

January 31, 2023

By Liam

On Sunday 29th January we held our annual Tractor and Vintage Car Run. The day dawned bright and fresh and the turnout certainly didn’t disappoint. There were almost 90 tractors, 20 cars and even a few trucks in attendance, along with a large crowd of on-lookers from both near and far. Community spirit was it’s best on the day with the community of Kilnadur and it’s surrounds showing off just how generous and hospitable they really are. After registration and refreshments the crowds headed off on their Tractor and Car Run, and also on the 3k and 7k walks around the locality, only to return again later to more refreshments and a very extensive raffle with prizes generously donated from many local entrepreneurs, company’s and even individual families. We extend a huge thank you to all of them for their support. A large sum of money was raised on the day for the Parent’s Association which will be used to support the on-going education of the children of the school, along with generous donations to both Dunmanway Community Hospital and the Mercy Hospital, Cork. Thanks to all who supported us on the day in any way and also to all those who volunteered and helped to ensure that the day was as successful as it was!! We are looking forward to next year’s event already! Check out our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/stendasns, for even more photos and videos from the day!
