Parents Association

The Parents’ Association of St. Enda’s NS, Kilnadur is a voluntary group made up of parents/guardians of children within the school. The main function of the Parents’ Association is fundraising, helping with school events and providing a vital link between the parents and the school. An AGM of the Parents’ Association is usually held in September each year.

Fundraising: Examples of some of the fundraising events the Parents’ Association have undertaken in the past are Tractor Run, BBQ event, School Christmas concerts, raffles, cake sales, Clothes Collections etc. All monies raised from these events go directly to benefit the children in the school to purchase additional educational resources, not funded by the Department of Education. The Parents’ Association have funded specific educational resources for the school including books, Christmas Annuals, PE equipment and recently new Lego for the pupils and new goalposts for our pitch.

Providing a vital Link between the Parents and the Schools: The Parents’ Association hold regular meetings which are regularly attended by the Principal and other staff. This gives both the parents/guardians and the school a forum to exchange ideas and views relating to the school.

We would actively encourage parents/guardians to become involved with the Parents Association. Being a member gives you a valuable opportunity to be part of your child’s school life and experience his/her school involvement at first hand. Without the work of the Parents’ Association, it wouldn’t be possible for the school to provide the extra resources for the children.
